Park Cottage is my old family home and sits at the end of Park Bernisdale in a very peaceful,   scenic location 9 miles from Portree on the road to Dunvegan (A850), 40 miles from the Skye Bridge (now toll free). 

There is no passing traffic and it sits on its own croft about 250 yards up from the shore of Loch Snizort.
From the front, the cottage looks down the loch and across to the hills beyond, whilst from the small hill at the back there are lovely views out towards Harris in the Outer Hebrides or the Cuillin mountain range a few miles to the south.
There are any number of walks, both nearby and further afield throughout the island on hills, mountains, sea cliffs and seashores giving great variety, breathtaking scenery, plenty of wildlife and as much peace and quiet as you can handle !!   
Portree has two supermarkets (open 7 days) and along with the rest of the island, a large number of hotels, restaurants, cafes and small shops. The nearest hotel to the cottage is Skeabost Country House which is 2 miles away.
Throughout the island there are many small craft centres, museums, heritage centres and castles which along with Talisker distillery give an insight into Skye's history and culture.  Pony trekking, boat trips, fishing (sea and loch), golf and many other activities are available, locally in most cases.
